Noor’s Blog
One of my least favorite things about social software is the unnatural task of requesting friends. I just signed up for Netflix last week and I only have one friend. :(
I haven’t figured out a good way to discover friends on Netflix so I figured I’d ask here - do you use Netflix? If so, do you want to be my friend on Netflix? If we become friends on Netflix, we can see what we’ve rented, how we rated movies, and recommend movies to each other. Of course, being my Netflix friend doesn’t mean that you’ll be obligated to be my friend in real life or any other social software application. To find me on Netflix, search for my gmail address (noor [dot] alihasan).
My name is Noor and this is my blog where I write about the mundane details of my life. I’m 30 and live in Northern California with my cats Mulder & Scully.

hate Netflix. Love my Blockbuster.com subscription. :-P Thay have a larger selection of Bollywood and old Hollywood movies. And, I haven’t had to wait more than 2 days for a movie to get to me.

If I were on Netflix, I’d totally be your friend. But I’m not on Netflix. My social networking doesn’t extend quite that far yet… I did sign up for Walker Tracker and Hiveminder this week, though!

I do not have Netflix. Or maybe I do and I don’t want to be your friend.

Blockbuster’s ridiculous late fees has forever tarnished their image.
You all suck but Amy is now my friend. Take that!

Noor: I’m afraid I’ll only be friends with you if you promise to go to weird, goofy, only occassionally sinister State Department functions and sit at the same table with me.

late fees? There are no late fees! For 10 bucks, I get 3 movies at a time, as long as I want, unlimited per month!

I think they’ve gotten rid of late fees but they used to be total assholes about late fees. You could turn something in a few minutes late and they’d charge 4 or 5 dollars.

You are talking about the physical store. I stopped renting there when they started charging 4.24 which was more than my Pay Per View charged.
