I’m in DTW right now (finally heading to San Jose) with about an hour to kill before my flight takes off. The America West gate agent just made the following announcement, “If you checked in via the web and printed your boarding pass at home, please see the gate agent to reprint your boarding pass.”
Isn’t that the whole point of electronic check-in? So that you won’t have to see anyone for a boarding pass?

I guess it’s better than my flight with united when the entire system broke down so they didn’t know who had already checked in via the web. So they gave everyone a boarding pass who showed up at the gate with a confirmation. Plus, they didn’t know which seats had been assigned so your seat on your boarding pass didn’t even matter.
I think my blog is turning into an airlines complaint forum! ;)
US Airways sucks!
