When we were at Dubai Marina, we stopped by the Spinneys there to do some grocery shopping (a funny thing about Dubai is that you’ll always find a grocery store in every mall or shopping complex). The local Spinneys in Mirdif, where my brother lives, has a pretty extensive pork shop, which is separated from the other meat products. At the Spinneys in Dubai Marina, their pork shop sign declares that the pork is not for Muslims, which I find pretty funny.

I should note that shortly after I took this picture, one of the Spinneys lackeys asked me if I had permission to take pictures in Spinneys. I quickly put away my camera and apologized because I really didn’t know that you need permission to take photos of silly things in grocery stores.

Alas, my photo taking days at Spinneys are over.
